Funeral services for Joyce Mayzell Nelson age 80 of Livingston, Texas will he held Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:30 PM First United Methodist Church in Livingston. Interment to follow in the Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation is from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday. Pallbearers are Brandon Nelson, Montana Nelson, Wade Nelson, Lain Gay, Ben Bell, Trey Darling, and Billy Smith, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Davis, Gary Templin and Jimmy Ward.

She was born November 13, 1930 in Onalaska, Texas the daughter of Fred and Dovie Barnett Davis and passed away January 14, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 33 years: Lester Nelson, brothers: Fred ""Buddy"" Davis, Jr., James Davis, Carl Davis, Rufis Davis, and Johnnie Ray Davis.

Joyce is survived by Linda and Bubba Watson, daughter and son-in-law of Livingston, Allen and Debra Nelson, son and daughter-in-law of Livingston, Ricky and Marcey Nelson, son and daughter-in-law of Livingston, grandchildren, Becky and Ben Bell, Tina and Lain Gay, Brandon Nelson, Montana and Meghan Nelson, Rachel and Trey Darling, Stevi and Billy Smith, Jr., and Wade Nelson, great grandchildren, Ruthie Gay, Alexis Darling, Garrett Gay, Brady Bell, Cason Nelson, Carter Nelson, and Ace Nelson, brother, Jimmie Davis and wife Sheila of Kerrville, sisters-in-law, Barbara Davis of Houston, Deloris Davis of Livingston, Irene Patterson, Lily, Lucille of Houston, Elsie Mae and Faye Nelson of Livingston. Many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and all of her ""special grandchildren from her daycare"" survive.
