Obituary
Funeral services for Joyce Ann Shirley Hicks, 75, of Livingston, Texas will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Nathan Hendrix officiating. Interment to follow in the Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Ms. Hicks was born March 16, 1939 in Fayette, Alabama to parents, Millard Shirley and Lucy Elizabeth (Pike) Shirley, and passed away December 11, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She was a homemaker all her life and loved going to church. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of the Clover Leaf Community. She also enjoyed doing embroidery work and reading her Bible. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bruce Shirley and Porter Lee Shirley.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Mitchell Badeaux of Highlands, Texas; daughter, Doris Ann Hicks of Dayton, Texas; grandchildren, Jack Hamons III, Christopher Powell, Brandy Hamons, Kelly Badeaux; great grandchildren, Francheska Clark, Chanelle Shaw, Landon Sodia; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Robert Hunter of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Dinah and Thomas Hendrix of Livingston, Texas; brother, James Shirley of Onalaska, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ronnie Shirley of League City, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Michael Hendrix, Billy Hardy, John Norman, Michael Lester, Zacharias Benson, Christopher Powell.
