Obituary
Funeral services for Judy Carroll McDowell, 64, of Rye, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Chimes at the Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas with Bro. Byron Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. McDowell was born September 10, 1950 in Houston, Texas, to parents, James Christopher Southers and Gracie Cleo (Cardwell) Southers, and passed away February 4, 2015 in Rye, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Reba Faye Warner; and grandson, Justin Ryan McDowell.
She is survived by her husband, John McDowell of Rye, Texas; son, John Edward McDowell and Lori of Alvin, Texas; son, James Christopher McDowell and Tammy of Humble, Texas; son, Fredrick Alexander McDowell and Brenda of Deer Park, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda Cleo Williamson of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
