Julie Anne Hickey Fye, aged 74, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Livingston, Texas, following a valiant battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born on April 27, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana, Julie departed this life on November 16, 2023, in Livingston, Texas. Julie attended Apostolic Bible Institute in Oakdale, Minnesota, where she met her husband, Larry. They married on August 19, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and were blessed with two children, Scott Fye and Andrea (Annie) Buie. In 1982, the family relocated to Livingston, Texas. where Julie was employed by Dr. Grube for two years, followed by a 25-year tenure with Dr. Perez, from which she retired.
She is preceded in death by parents, Juanita Jean (Dixon) and Thomas Andrew Hickey, as well as brother, Danny Hickey.
Survived by husband Larry Fye; son Scott Fye and daughter-in-law Suzanne Fye of Deer Park, Texas, daughter, Andrea (Annie) Buie and son-in-law Jeremy Buie of Livingston, Texas; four beautiful granddaughters, Lexi Fye, Allí Fye, Rozlyn Buie, and Ainzlee Jo Buie; brother, Steve Hickey of Sedalia, Missouri; sisters, Mary Smith of Belmont, Mississippi, Debra Stromatt of Clarks Hill, Indiana, Jan Peyton and Pam Methany of W. Lafayette, Indiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 26, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Livingston, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Rev. Joshua Carney and former Pastor Rev. Gerald Morris. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Livingston, Texas. Visitation is set for Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Livingston, Texas.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care in Julie's final days, and to Pine Ridge Health Care for their dedicated service over the past five years. A special thanks to her church family at First United Pentecostal Church for 42 years of prayers, lifelong friendships, and support.
