JW Moore

A memorial service for JW Moore, 72, of Malakoff, Texas will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with David Van Velzer officiating.

JW was born September 22, 1953 in Houston, Texas and passed March 5, 2026 in Athens, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Walter Moore and Annie Joy Meyka Moore; son, John Walter Moore; and brother, Robert Moore.

He is survived by his son, Jay P. Moore; brother, Garry Moore; and sisters, Karen Coker, Vicki Portwood, Mary Hutcherson, Pamela Smith, Tammie Turner, Lisa Dobbs, and Cynthia Wimberly and husband Tim; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
