Funeral services for Kathryn "Kitty" Haire, 97, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., before the service begins, in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Kathryn "Kitty" Haire passed away peacefully Friday July 29, 2022, in Livingston, Texas.

Kitty was born January 5, 1925 in Galveston, Texas, and was proud of being BOI - born on the island.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Ray Haire, along with her parents, brother & sister.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Jack and Kerry Haire of Livingston, grandson Trent & wife Kadileigh, and precious great-granddaughters Ella Drew and Effie Louise Haire, of Fort Worth, Texas.

She loved the Lord, her family & the coast.

She was an educator and taught elementary school until she retired.  She and Ray were also very involved in their church where Kitty taught elementary age children for years, and was also their Sunday School Director.  In retirement she & Ray enjoyed traveling in their RV seeing the sites around the USA.

She loved to write about her life experiences, and was a published author.

Pallbearers are Trent Haire, Craig Green, James Stutts, Randy Nelson, Larry Horn, & Chuck Shepherd.

Honorary pallbearers Virginia & Kenny Norsworthy, Bruce and Bobbie Ott,  Anissa Haynes, along with the staff of Tall Pines Assisted Living and A Plus Sitting Service.

The family is so appreciative for the loving care she received during her 9 years at Tall Pines Assisted Living, along with recent services from A Plus Sitting Service, and Kindred
