Obituary

Kathryn passed peacefully into Jesus' presence Sunday afternoon August 21, 2022. She is currently enjoying a perfect body and the glories of the City of God.  We miss her and hate to say goodbye, but we are so happy she is not hurting anymore.  We appreciate your prayers for us as we learn to live without her.  Right now, that seems extremely difficult.  We find peace in Psalms 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones."

Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Kellie Flowers and husband, Patrick, of Livingston, and Kimberly King and significant other, Bobby Lynn, of Bellville; grandchildren, Lacey Jeanette Seddon and husband, Zachary, of Burkburnett, Kaleb Andrew Bosley and wife, Melissa, of Temple, Jamesley J. Flowers and Asher Lens Flowers of Livingston; and great-grandchildren, Dustin Christopher Bosley, Eli James Seddon, Jayde Elizabeth Kathryn Seddon, and Aria Rose Kinsleigh Seddon.

Kathryn was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, John Richard King, her parents, C. A.  and Janie Jackson, her sister, Margaret Rawls, and her brother, Jack Jackson.

Kathryn had a full and happy life filled with many friends.  She held many jobs through her years: Secretary at a ready-mix plant, Secretary with Exxon Refinery, and the General Manager Administrative Assistant at San Bernard Electricity Co-op.  In her retirement she loved serving as the Librarian of Bellville Public Library. She influenced many people by serving as a church pianist, G.A. Sponsor, Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, an officer with the Bellville Band Boosters, Mentor for school students, and a volunteer in the jail ministry.  In addition to these services, she always made herself available to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. That even included being driven to the trash dumpster numerous times by Jamesley and Lens, in Poppy's golf cart, where she almost got thrown out when hitting a bump and rounding a curve too fast.

Honorary Pallbearers are Kaleb Bosley, Jamesley Flowers, Lens Flowers, Dustin Bosley, and Eli Seddon.

A graveside service will be held at Camp Ruby Cemetery on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 4:00 pm. A Memorial Service will also be held at Bellville United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lake Tomahawk Christian Retreat, 408 Lake Tomahawk, Livingston, Texas 77351 or Kindred Hospice, 210 West Park Drive #107, Livingston Texas 77351.
