Funeral services for Kathy Cain Butler, 63, of Humble, Texas, will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Keith Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, August 23, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Kathy was born November 25, 1957 in Livingston, Texas, to parents, Ross Abbey, Sr. and Ettie Mae (Thompson) Abbey, and passed away August 18, 2021 in The Woodlands, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stewart Abbey; and sister, Patsy Flores.

She is survived by her husband, John Butler of Humble, Texas; son, Dewayne Abbey of Humble, Texas; daughter and fiancé, Joanne Butler and Jackson Langley of Livingston; daughter, Julianne Butler of Humble, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Abbey and Diana Thompson of Houston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Violene and Billy Beene of Livingston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ross Abbey, Jr. and Deanna of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Quana Easley of Livingston, Texas; aunt and husband, Christene and James Cody Poncho of Livingston, Texas; 23 nieces and nephews; 30 great nieces and great nephews; and 4 great-great nieces and great-great nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David Butler Sr. and Donna of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in law, Brent and Vickie Butler of Austin, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
