Memorial Visitation for Kayla Jo Smith, 51, of Gulfport, Mississippi, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Kayla was born August 14, 1974, in Woodville, Texas and passed away December 19, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

She is survived by her daughters, Bailey Beech and Shelby; Shelbi Mitchell and Kent; Kenzee Ladner and Michael, all of Gulfport, Mississippi; Grandchildren, Bentley, Laine, Josie, Karson and Levi;

Father, Larry C. Smith Sr. of Livingston, Texas; Mother, Carolyn Taylor Batten and Dicky of Huntsville, Texas; Brother, Larry C. "Bubba" Smith Jr. and Meredith, Brady and Peyton of Cypress, Texas; Sister, Chelsea Smith and Alex Hampton of New Haven, Connecticut; Aunt, Kay Waldrep and Stephen; Cousins, Melissa Walding and Buck, Dusty Buller, Kylee, Cole and Laney, all of Livingston, Texas.

Kayla was preceded in death by Paternal grandparents, Emmett L. Smith Sr. and Dorothy O. Smith; Maternal grandparents, James E. and Willie Mae Taylor.
