Kelly Jo Perez, 63, of Livingston, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1962, in Houston, Texas, to Henry Paul and Vonda Daly. Kelly Jo lived a life rooted in love, loyalty, and devotion to her family. She had a special gift for making those around her feel cherished, but nothing brought her more joy than being "Nana" to her beloved grandchildren, Justin Jr. and Harlee Ellis. They were the light of her life and the center of her heart. Kelly Jo also had an unwavering love for rescue dogs. She opened her heart and home to countless four-legged companions over the years, giving each one the second chance they deserved. Her compassion for animals was a defining part of who she was.

She is survived by her loving husband, Urban "Cowboy" Perez; her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Chantalle Ellis; her son, Garrett Johnson, her sisters Cathy (Greg) Pollock and Cara (Brian) Roberts; and many nieces and nephews who adored her. She also leaves behind her best friend of 50 years, Stephanie Stewart, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering friendship.

A funeral service honoring Kelly Jo's life will be held on December 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM. At Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Kelly Jo will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, her compassion for animals, and her deep love for those she held close. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured and the countless lives she touched.
