IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ken
Burchfield
August 6, 1941 – July 3, 2024
Funeral services for Charles Kenneth "Ken" Burchfield, 82, of Tomball, Texas will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at the Chesswood Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Daniel Burchfield officiating. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 12:00-2:00 p.m., at the church.
Ken went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 3, 2024 at his home in Tomball, TX. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas to Margaret Manyhouse Burchfield and Jeff David Burchfield on August 6, 1941. He met and married the love of his life, Helen Becnel and they were married 63 years. They had 3 children, Mike (Lynette), Joan Woodruff (Kenneth) and Lynne Carpenter (Darrell). He had 11 Grandchildren: Jennifer Lawson (Joseph), Daniel Burchfield (Becky), Joel Burchfield (Kayla), Joshua Burchfield (deceased), Sarah Riebel (Chris), Grace Simonsen (Jordan), Nathan Woodruff, Matthew Carpenter (Meagan), Zachary Carpenter (Noemi), Danielle Whaley (Winsten) and Michael Carpenter (Madilyn). He also had 19 Great-Grandchildren.
Ken loved His Lord and his family more than anything. His greatest desire was to see them all love each other, and for each to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Professionally, Ken was an Electrical/Instrumentations Engineer and a graduate of LSU. He loved his Tiger almost as much as fishing, shrimping, and just being on the water. He loved a challenge, whether it was building a house, fixing a car, or working on a control panel. If something broke, he loved fixing it, even if it cost more than replacing it.
There will be a void in all our lives because of his passing, but knowing where he is leaves us with an unexpected peace.
