Kenneth Ray Lamb, age 75, of Livingston, Texas, passed away on March 24, 2013 in Livingston, Texas. He was born on March 10, 1938, in Polk County, Texas to parents, Hiram and Ione Lamb. Mr. Lamb proudly served the United States in the Army in 1962. On December 30, 1965, he married his love, Bessie Davis.
Kenneth is preceded in death by both of his parents; his son, John Robert Pruett and five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Lamb, of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Ronald Cox, of Livingston; son, Stephen Lamb, of La Porte; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Kenneth Bravenec, of Katy; sister, Ruth Hannah, of La Porte; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda Clarke, Dustin and Taylor Cox, John and Autumn Cox, Kalen Cox, Annie Bravenec, Lilly Bravenec, Emily McMullen, Noah and Aaron Lamb, Jay Tyler Pruett, Elizabeth Caroline Pruett; twelve great-grandchildren, Lance Smith, Meagan Clarke, Josh Clarke, Kylie Nash, Landry Nash, Madison Cox, Payton Cox, Gracie Cox, Chloe Cox, Paige Cox, Leu Cox and Hayes Cox. Numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Mitchell Murphy and Eulogist, John Davis will be officiating the service. Interment will be in the Center Grove Cemetery following services. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post #8568 Honor Guard. Mr. Lamb will be escorted to his grave by his pallbearers, Jay Westerman, Jay Pruett, Lance Smith, Dustin Cox, John Cox, Clint Davis, Ricky Smith Davis and Randy Wilson. His honorary pallbearers are A.D. Dillon, Ira Hales, Billy Mitchell, Clint Davis, Doyle Little, Joe Earl Hendrix, Clifford Robertson, Albert Mott, Norman Sparks.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 also,at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston.
