Kenneth H. Messner age 85 of Livingston passed away May 16, 2010. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orval Barger officiating. Burial will be held Wednesday at 3:00PM in the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Oklahoma.
Kenneth was born January 8, 1925 in Redding, PA., to parents Harvey Irvin Messner and Blanch E. Degler Messner. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1943 until 1946, and later became a gunnery instructer for the Navy. Kenneth also was a local member of the Gideons, and the jail ministry. He also helped build and design color televisions for many years with Philco. He will be remembered as a loving man who always went out of his way to help others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Mark Johnson, and wifes Mildred Scribner, and Jame McLaughin.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Gail Messner of Pearland, sons Ken Messner Jr. of Austin and Tom E. Messner of Goodrich, sister June Grant of West Redding, Pa. He is also survived by his loving cats Sam and John and his dogs Buddy and Dusty.
