La Nell Keel Whitesides age 82 of Livingston passed away Wednesday November 18, 2009 at her home with her family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday November 21, 2009 in the Blanchard Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday November

20, 2009 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

La Nell was born July 12, 1927 in Cherokee County, Texas to parents Fred Keel and Addie Toole Keel. She was a charter member of the Blanchard Baptist Church, spending many years volunteering and helping the church. She also volunteered for many years at Pine Ridge Nursing Home, helping families and patients. She is preceded in death by her husband Thurman Whitesides.

She is survived by her daughters Gloria Hutchinson and husband Michael of Boynton Beach, Fl., Sandra Barber and husband David of Livingston, grandchildren Bill Schrage and wife Tammy of Ft. Worth, Teresa Kenny and husband Shane of Ft. Worth, Russell Barber of Austin, and Seth Barber of Austin, great grandchildren Garrett Kenny, Cooper Schrage, and Dylin Rae Schrage all of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by her brother Sam Keel of Whitehouse, and sisters Eva Colvin of Frankston, and Dorothy Miller of San Augustine.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Schrage, Teresa Kenny, Russell Barber, Seth Barber, Tammy Schrage, Shane Kenny.
