Funeral services for Lana Jean Lee, 57, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Lana's pastor, Bro. Dean Boyd, officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 12, 2019, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Lana Jean Lee was born in Livingston, on Easter Sunday morning, April 22, 1962 to Milton and Anna Lee, the third of four children. She died May 9, 2019, at home in New Willard, Texas.

Lana was raised a farm girl, who loved animals. She, along with her brother and sisters, learned to handle a tractor and haying equipment at an early age. Many farmers in the Polk County area remember the girls cutting, raking, and bailing their hay. In fact, there aren't many hay fields in the area that Lana has not either cut, raked, and/or baled at one time or another.

Lana attended school in Livingston and was involved in choir and participated in many performances. She was loved and admired by friends and classmates, many of whom have stayed in close contact with her. She later became a nurse and worked in a Livingston nursing home, where she cared for many who knew her when she was young.

She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Lee. Lana's survivors include sons, Jared Nettles and wife, Mandy, Matthew Nettles and wife, Lauren; mother, Anna Lee; brother, Bryan Lee; and sisters, Nancy Lee Martin and husband, Mike, and Rachael Hiser; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
