Funeral services for Rev. Larry Pinckard, 78, of Corsicana, Texas, will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Midway Community Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Smith and Bro. David Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Rev. Pinckard was born July 13, 1938 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Ernest Winford Pinckard and Ima Florene (Matlock) Pinckard, and passed awaySeptember 8, 2016 in Corsicana, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Larry worked at Cochran Funeral Home and Cochran Ambulance Service. He also worked for Tauthen Funeral Home in Buffalo, Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne and Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Larry was an EMT and Fire Chief in Bedias and also Buffalo. He was on the fire department in Hearne and a police officer in Smackover, Arkansas. After all of his service as a first responder, he became a minister and spread the word for 48 years. For the last 25 years of his career, he was a minister at the First Assembly of God Church in Madisonville. He also pioneered a church in Tennessee that is still thriving today that he was very proud of. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, E. Wayne Starr; and sister, Wilma Louise Pinckard.

He is survived by his wife, Dene Pinckard of Corsicana, Texas, formerly of Livingston, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Mike Owens of Livingston, Texas, and Tonya and David Edwards of Corsicana, Texas; grandsons, Brandon Owens and wife, Kodi of Livingston, Texas, and Bradley Owens and wife, Stacy of Leggett, Texas; granddaughter, Madison Edwards of Corsicana, Texas; great-grandchildren, Landon Owens, Avery Owens, and Heidi Owens; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Gary Harris of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Shirley Starr of Silt, Colorado; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and James Kessler of Livingston, Texas; brother, Ken Pinckard of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, L.C. and Pat McNiel of Cleveland, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
