It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Larry Gene Potter. He passed away on June 29, 2021 at the age of 75 in his home at Lake Livingston after a long and serious illness with his loved ones by his side. Larry was born on January 17, 1946 in Dorton, Kentucky, as one of 6 children to Harrison and Vesta Potter.

Larry Potter, you were a role model, advisor, friend, an entrepreneur as well as a reliable and highly respected business partner. But most of all you have been a loving husband, a caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, stepfather, godfather and an awesome brother, cousin and uncle. Larry, you were a man of character, honesty and humor, you were ambitious at the same time fair and just. You have made a real difference for the people close to you and you will be dearly missed, but you will certainly live on in our eternal love, our endless gratitude and in our sweetest memories.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Potter; son, Derek Potter and son, Allen and wife, Michelle Potter; stepson, Lars Krokoszinski and family of Germany; his brother, Johnny and wife, Consuelo; and nephew; Jacob Potter; granddaughters, Kirstyn Blount, Destiny Potter, Madison Potter and Julina Krokoszinski; along with 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and loved ones: Kim and Robert Babbit, Gregg, Linda and Diana Jones, Ronnie Potter of NY, Sandra Potter, Kendall Sheets and family, Kristopher Rios and family, Heinrich and Gertrud Beuscher of Germany, Heiner Beuscher and family of Germany, Ulrich Beuscher and family, and son Jens Simon Beuscher of Germany.

At Larry's request, no service will be held. We ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate in his honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
