Obituary

Larry Walters age 73 of Livingston passed peacefully on Saturday September 12, 2009 with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be held Monday September 14, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Frazier and Bro. Randy Ensey officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday September 13, 2009 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Larry was born November 22, 1935 in Livingston, to parents Elbert Walters and Clara McCaghren Walters. He proudly served our country for 14 years, in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Cline Walters.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann Walters of Livingston, whom he married on October 22, 1967 in Manassas, Virginia, son Scott Walters and wife Reasha of Lufkin, daughter Caryn McLendon and husband Mack of Livingston, brothers Llewel Walters and wife Sherri of Kingwood, Galen Walters and wife Mikki of Brenham, sisters Diane Walters Young of Woodbranch Village, Sue Borup and husband Harold of Bandera, and sister in law Sue Crawford of Livingston. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kasey McLendon, Kelly Jo McLendon and Claire Walters, and his aunts Lunell Stephens and husband John of Livingston, Eloise Zimmerman of Livingston and Oma Grace Collins of Livingston.

Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Fillman, Mark Fillman, Charlie Ingram, Jerry Marsh, Cary Castleberry, Mack McLendon, Scott Walters, Galen Walters, Llewel Walters, and Harold Borop. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Lambright, Bill Wiggins, Jonathan Ensey, Fred Crawford, Darrol Crawford, Eugene Fuchs, Van Ray Cox, Jimmy Owen, Bubba Watson, Jack Sprott, Sam Gordon, Cecil Langston, Rusty Walters, Wayne Crawford, Brain Turnbough, Jim McLendon, Jim Wheeland, Guinn Jones, Judson Pritchard, Lee Hawkins, and John Dial.
