A memorial visitation will be held for Laura Sue Hughes, 55, of Goodrich, Texas on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Laura was born on October 6, 1967 in Lewisville, Texas and passed away August 19, 2023 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin Sims, Jr. and Lillian Lanell (Hohenstein) Sims; and sister, Theresa Ellen (Sims) Manning.

She is survived by her husband, David "Shorty" Hughes of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Hope Dickerson of Marshall, Texas; grandson, Miles Reid Dickerson of Marshall, Texas; and sisters, Jimmie Lee Pendersraf of Paris Texas and Lisa Gail Runnels of Ladonia, Texas.
