Funeral services for Laura Ann Whatley, age 68, of Centerville, Texas will be held Wednesday September 9, 2009 in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Mitchell Murphy officiating and interment to follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers will be Jay Taylor, Troy Perkins, Glenn Anderson, Joe Overbeck, Josh Powell, Jeremy Whatley, Eddie Barnes and Toby Anderson.
She was born in Winnfield, La., May 28, 1941, the daughter of Earl Monroe Grice and Sybil Margaret Edwards Grice and passed away September 6, 2009 in Centerville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.D. Whatley.
She is survived by Buddy Whatley, son of Centerville, Texas, Richard Whatley, son of Texarkana, Texas, Sandy & David Powell, daughter & son in law of Livingston, Texas, grandchildren, Jeremy Whatley, Kayleigh Powell, Haley Whatley, Jay Whatley, Carrie Whatley, Zac Powell, Ashley Lawhon, and Josh Powell, 5 great grandchildren, Aleene Ivie, sister of Centerville, Texas, Peggy & John Morrow, sister & brother in law of The Woodlands, Willie & William Stutts, sister & brother in law of Groesbeck, Texas, numerous, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
