Memorial services for LaVeeda "Lovie" Curtis, 96, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Livingston, Texas with Father Chester Makowski officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Mrs. Curtis was born January 14, 1921 in East St. Louis, Illinois to parents, Ernest Arnett and Francine (Voudrie) Arnett, and passed away September 24, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roscoe David Curtis; and son, David Ross Curtis.

She is survived by her daughter, Monya C. Lyon of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Renee Boyles and husband, Harrell of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Curtis Lyon and wife, Sarah of Gerlach, Nevada; grandson, Damon Lyon of Sacramento, California; granddaughter, Shari Chesson and husband, Carl of Sulphur, Louisiana; granddaughter, Richare Laurin of Fort Smith, Arkansas; granddaughter, Reina Alexander and husband, J.B. of Harrison, Arkansas; grandson, Peter Boyles of Denver, Colorado; granddaughter, Sharrell Boyles of Denver, Colorado; and grandson, Preston Boyles and wife, Sarah of Lone Oak, Arkansas; along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
