Obituary
Funeral services for LaVerne Malone Schoubroek, 77, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Jones and Bro. George Ross Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
On December 14, 2015, the Gates of Heaven flew open, the trumpets sounded and the reunion began as Heaven welcomed in the sweetest and greatest angel, as
Laverne Malone Schoubroek joined her Almighty Heavenly Father.
LaVerne was born May 3, 1938, to Ollie L. Malone and Mary O'Nita Malone (Taylor) in Schwab City, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debra Lynn Schoubroek Smith; and brother, James E. Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Schoubroek and Tina Schoubroek of Livingston, Texas; son-in-law, Paul Edward Smith of Corrigan, Texas; grandsons, Blake Edward Davidson and wife (Alice) of Crockett, Texas, Dylan Foster Davidson of Livingston, Texas, Keith Smith (Hollie), Kevin Smith, (Anne), and Kelly Wood; great-grandchildren, Mason and Keeley Smith of Corrigan, Texas, and Colin Smith of New Caney Texas; nephew, Ronnie Taylor; and nieces, Carolyn Batten and Alice Tywater.
She was an adoptive mother and Granny Verne to so many and you all know who you are and how much you meant to her.
She was a member of the Schwab City Baptist Church.
She was an avid dog lover and will be missed greatly by Maggie and Bently.
