Lemuel Roy 'Buck' Burch, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Livingston TX surrounded by his family on June 23, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Roy was born August 21, 1949, in Livingston, TX to Harry Richard and Mary Evelyn (Kelley) Burch.

He retired after 35 years of service to Campbell Ready Mix as a plant manager where he made lifelong friends with many work colleagues. Later in life Roy found a passion for raising 4H show rabbits supporting local young people in learning to love nature and agriculture. Roy was also an avid gardener and canning enthusiast, making many friends at farmers markets around the county. Many in the community will miss the 'watermelon man' with his helpful experience and green thumb.

Roy is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Debbie Murphy Burch; daughters, Shea Rhames and husband John of Montgomery Texas and Holly Dempsey and husband Beau of Surry, Maine; Pawdad's pride and joy, his grandchildren Ryan Gibson, Logan Dempsey, Emma Rhames and Tyler Gibson; sister, Opal Davis; Bother in Law, Vance Murphy and Kay and brother in law Toby Murphy and Kitty; sister in law Kay Waldrep and husband Bubba and sister in law Cindy Millis and husband Kevin; as well as many other special nieces and nephews and family and friends that will always remember the most kind, soft spoken, honest, hardworking, giving, and faithful man with love and appreciation.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Louis Stone and Francis Gates; and his beloved pet, Sissy.

Graveside services will be held at 10am on Monday June 26, 2023, at Peebles Cemetery with Ronnie Seagroves Jr. officiating. Visitation and refreshments immediately following graveside services at Hickory Grove Church fellowship hall.
