Memorial services for Leo Orona, 64, of Rye, Texas, will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schwab City Baptist Church in Schwab City, Texas with Rev. David Jones officiating and Brother Albert Lynch assisting. Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #8568 Honor Guard.

Mr. Orona was born November 4, 1949 in California to parents, Pete and Vincenta (Carrasco) Orona, and passed away October 18, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He was very proud to be a part of the United States Army and represented his country. He remained a proud supporter of our military men and women. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Orona of Rye; four sons, Owen Leonardo Orona of Rye, Nathanael Bryan Orona of Rye, Owen Franklin Jensen, IV of Rye and Clinton Bryan Jensen and wife, Rose Ann of Katy; three brothers, Raymond Orona and wife, Gloria of Roswell, New Mexico, Roy Orona and wife, Lucy of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pete Orona, Jr. of Kingwood, Texas; two sisters, Elfida Orona Rodriguez of Meadow Vista, California, Maria "Terry" Teresa Urias of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Joyce Adams of Rye; three grandchildren, Abel Jensen, Daniel Williams and Julianna Williams; extended family members, Sherry Dawn, David Holley, Cheyenne, Steven and Cynthia Tooke, Amanda, Danielle, Harlie, Hali, Rachael Jones, Tyler, Cody, Tristin and Tori Banos and a host of other extended family members and friends.
