Funeral services for Leon Gober age 67 of Point Blank, Texas will be held Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Oakhurst Full Gospel Church in Oakhurst, Texas with Rev. Glenn Coosey officiating and interment to follow in the Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst. Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Butch Gibson, Andrew Radke, Tanner Gibson, Caleb Gibson, Austin Theriot, Glenn Bird and Joshua Gober. Military Honors provided by VFW Post #8568.

Leon was a member of the Tranquility Masonic Lodge #2000 A.F.&A.M. and the Deer Park Lodge #1362 A.M.&A.F. for 25 years.

He was born September 1, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama the son of Carl Findley Gober and Emma Evelyn Ethredge Gober and passed away at his home in Point Blank, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Jerry Gober of Point Blank, Texas, Evelyn Hicks, mother of LaPorte, Texas, Bobby Joe Gober, son of Highlands, Texas, Darren Leon & Kelly Gober, son & daughter in law of Point Blank, Texas, Steven Dewayne & Amanda Gober, son & daughter in law of San Antonio, Texas, Richard & Francis Gober, brother & sister in law of Warren, Texas, Tommy & Carolyn Gober, brother & sister in law of Deer Park, Texas, Tim & Lee Ann Gober, brother & sister in law of Highlands, Texas, Danny & Wanda Gober, brother & sister in law of Gibson, Louisiana, Christina & Don Bonnette, sister & brother in law of Willis, Texas, Polly & Ray Rackley, sister & brother in law of LaPorte, Texas and Becky & John Mathis of LaPorte, Texas, grandchildren are; Joshua Gober, Marissa Gober, Drayton Gober, Tara Gober, Mariah Gober, Tori Gober, Adam Mendelsohn & Shelby, Ryan Mendelsohn, Cheryl Mendelsohn and Abigail Grace Gober and Brooklynn Mendelsohn, great grandchild.
