Leona Rushing 94 of Livingston went to be with her Lord on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held in her honor Saturday July 25, 2009 at 11:00AM at the First United Pentecostal Church of Livingston with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Burial will be at 4:00PM in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Applespings. Visitation will be Friday July 24, 2009 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Leona was born May 5, 1915 in Franklin to parents Ed and Ida Pinson Nash. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam Rushing, daughter Shirley Hambrick, grandsons Ryan Adrian, Melvin Rushing, Gerald Rushing, and granddaughter Tabitha Rushing.

She is survived by her son Joe Rushing and wife Melba, son in law J.T. Hambrick, son Buster Rushing, daughter Sharon Lee Pickle, son Sammy Gerald Rushing and wife Sonda, son Johnny Carol Rushing and wife Betty, Marilyn Rushing, daughter Ginger Swan and husband Merlin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and her church family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Adrian, John Rushing, Doug Rushing, Eric Rushing, Robbin Adrian, Matthew Adrian, Taylor Rushing, Mark Adrian, and Darrin Rushing. Honorary pallbearers will be J.T. Hambrick, Bro. David Dacke, and Bro. John Stephens.
