Leroy Ladish was born to John and Minnie Ladish October 6, 1931 and passed away suddenly on April 14, 2022. His funeral service will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Cochran Funeral Home at 406 Yaupon, Livingston, TX. 77351, visitation at 1:00 p. m. and the service at 2:00 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Turner Ladish and a daughter, Kim of Kingwood, Tx.; nephew, Ron Babin and wife, Rosie, niece, Jeanette Babin of Houston; Joan Graves and Margaret of Hallettsville, and 19 great nephews and nieces and many other loving relatives and friends.
Leroy graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston in 1950, excelling in football. He attended Blinn College on a football scholarship before serving 4 years in the USAF during the Korean Conflict. After an honorable discharge he attended the University of Houston. He had a career in transportation, starting with the Southern Pacific and Rock Island railroads in Houston and Dallas. He finished his career in water transportation exporting and importing goods, allowing him to travel much of the U.S., Europe and Scandinavia. He was a past Director and lifetime member of The Traffic Club of Houston.
Leroy was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, loved his Lord and family and put them first. He will be remembered for his friendly smile and dry sense of humor.
