Funeral services for Lila Faye Weaver, 87, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home.
Mrs. Weaver was born July 3, 1934, in Livingston, Texas, to parents, Elbert Franklin Goldman and Minnie Ola (Bush) Goldman, and passed away June 4, 2022 while at home with family. She grew up in Livingston with three sisters and one brother. Lila married George Hales and together they had 5 children. In June 1975, Lila remarried to Charles Weaver and they remained together until he passed away in 2009.
During her lifetime, she worked as a waitress, in retail, and as a hostess on a cruise ship. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved her little dog Molly. She was hardworking, and enjoyed being in the yard and raising chickens.
Lila is preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Hales; brother, Milton Goldman; sisters, Mary Lurie and Louise Bullock; husband, George Hales; husband, Charles R. Weaver; and great granddaughter, Kadence M. Hales.
She leaves behind her children, Lora Beth Bedford and husband Johnny, Jay Hales and wife Harriett, Maxine LaFour and husband Richard, Wesley Hales and wife Debbie; sister, Ava Cummings; grandchildren, John Steven Bedford, Jay Hales II, Brent LaFour, Jacinda Lewis and husband Billy, Jeremy LaFour and wife Kali, Caleb Hales and wife Amber, Christina Moore and husband Josh; as well as 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; along with many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to say thank you to Kindred Hospice for their loving care, and a special thank you to Rachel, Pam and Regina.
