Lillie Choate McCarty, age 92, of Onalaska, Texas, passed away on March 22, 2013 in Huntsville, Texas. She was born on January 24, 1921, in Huffsmith, Texas to parents, John Paul Weihrich, and Emma Vogt Weihrich.

Lillie is preceded in death by both of her parents; father of her children, P. Cecil Choate; her second husband, Jesse J. McCarty; son, John Choate; daughter, Judy Pratt; grandsons, Rod Choate and Timmy Pratt; great grandson, Cory Choate; brothers, Frederick ""Fritz"", Albert, Bernhard and John Weihrich; sister, Annie Hoffman. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Betty Choate, of Houston; daughter-in-law, Kay Choate, of Hempstead; step son, Mike McCarty and wife, Sherly McCarty, of Ennis; step daughter, Nancy and husband, Andy Neal, of Ennis; step daughter, Barbara and husband, Winston Raney, of Ennis; brother, Allen Weihrich, of Kerrville; four grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; five, great-grandchildren; seventeen, step great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special friends Jackie and Marie Bendo. Lillie will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Fred Choate, Gene Falco, James McCarty, Lance McCarty, John Weihrich, and Mitchell Raney.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Marvin Martin and Rev. James McCarty will be officiating the service. Interment will take place later that afternoon at 3:00 PM in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, March 25, 2013 also at Cochran Funeral Home.
