Services for Linda Marilyn Winkelmann, 74, of Coldspring, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Coldspring Methodist Church in Coldspring, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.

Linda was born January 25, 1949 in Houston, Texas and passed away January 29, 2023 in Coldspring, Texas. She is preceded by her parents, Earnest Richard Downing Sr. and Carmen Thelma Mann; daughter, Sherry Lynn Winkelmann; sister, Donna Diane Downing; and brothers, Earnest Richard Downing Jr. and James Harrison Downing.

She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Roeseler of Coldspring, Texas; niece, Misty Myers and husband Robert of Austin, Texas, Leigh Ann Tyroch and husband Brandon of Houston, Texas, and Erin Chumley of Miller Grove, Texas; great nephew, Vincent Chumley and wife Maranda of Miller Grove, Texas; great-great nephews, Guy and Tanner of Miller Grove, Texas; daughter-by-love, Barbara Smith and husband Gary of Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughter, Kristen Smith; grandson, Taylor Smith; brother by love, Buddy Shepherd; and niece, Karen Stacy, husband Tim and family of Lufkin, Texas; as well as numerous other loved ones and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Senior Citizens of San Jacinto County, Inc., 60 Butler Street, Coldspring, Texas 77331 or the Coldspring Area Public Library, 14221 State Hwy 150 W, Coldspring, Texas 77331.
