Liza Gayle Johnson

Funeral services for Liza Gayle Johnson, 63, of Livingston, Texas will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Keith Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the church.

Liza was born June 23, 1963, in Woodville, Texas and passed away August 3, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Johnson Sr. and Veniece Battise; and brother, Calvin Johnson.

She is survived by her cousin, Terrah Langley; uncle, Amon Sylestine; cousins, Dedera Don-Sylestine, Olivia Williams and Harvey, Jeralyn Mullins, Maudine Abbey, Rowena Morgan, Amelia Mason, Yayo Garcia, and Minerva Poncho; aunt, Beryl Battise; special friends, Michelle Allen and Belinda Sylestine; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Nicholas Bunting, Dorian Garcia, DJ Spear, Kirk Sylestine, Josh Liscano, Samuel John, Travis Sylestine, and Evan Williams.
