Services for Lloyd Daniel "Danny" Munson, 79, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow Blue Water Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Danny, born February 12, 1945 in Livingston, Texas, served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1972. During that time, he served two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. After leaving the service, he started Munson Water Well Service which he operated successfully for over twenty years. In 1995 he started working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and later retired from there.

He passed away July 15, 2024 in Shepherd, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee Munson and Mary Lorene (Vickery) Munson; brothers, Larry Munson and Kenneth Munson; sister, Shelia Hight; mother of his children, Joyce McNiel Munson; late spouse, Rhonda Burks; and grandson, Matthew Tucker.

Danny is survived by his son, Edward "Ed" Munson and wife Monica of Schwab City, Texas; daughter, Beverly Enloe and husband Emmitt of Shepherd, Texas; stepchildren, Dewayne Burks of Corrigan, Texas, Rene Zaher and husband Naser of United Arab Emirates, Karen Hooks of Lufkin, Texas, Sean Burks and wife Leslie of Corrigan, Texas, and Evie Hubbard and husband Andy of Brazoria, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel Munson and wife Shelby, Isabella Myers and husband Donald, Destiny Tucker, and Heather Evins; great grandchildren, Lilly-Ann, Trace, Diesel, Jordan, and Vaidyn; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
