Funeral services for Lonnie Eugene Nicklas, 28, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Paul Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Lonnie was born August 6, 1986 in Livingston, Texas, to parents, Lonnie Wayne Nicklas and Mary (Slocum) Maxwell, and passed away January 1, 2015 in Leggett, Texas. During his life, Lonnie was proud of being a veteran and a very proud dad. He is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Wayne Nicklas; grandfathers, Ray Nicklas and Yale "Bud" Slocum; uncles, Wesley Slocum and Bert Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Melody Nicklas of Leggett, Texas; mother, Mary and Jimmy Maxwell of Goodrich, Texas; grandparents, Maxine Slocum and Betty Nicklas both of Leggett, Texas; son, Lonnie Ray Nicklas of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Ravin Marie Nicklas of Conroe, Texas; son, Joseph Allen Gaconnet of Conroe, Texas; brother, Bryan and Angel Kay of Trinity, Texas; step-brothers, Dakota Maxwell of Livingston, Texas, Timothy and Amber Johnson of Livingston, Texas; step-sisters, Christy Villarreal and Jerry of Goodrich, Texas, Jessie Johnson of Ace, Texas, Samantha Maxwell and Aaron Reeves of Goodrich, Texas, Carenda Lawless of Goodrich, Texas, Bobbie and Larry Reeves of Livingston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
