Funeral services for Lorena will be held at Jones Prairie Baptist Church, Leggett, TX on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1pm with Bro. Bryan Dickens officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery, Leggett, TX.

Lorena Mae Johnson, formerly of Leggett, Texas, was born on August 14, 1946, to Raymond & Lorene (Matthews) Stuckey in Houston, Texas. She passed from this world to her eternal resting place on March 4, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Melisa (Missy) Chapman and husband, Beauford, of Bedias, TX; step-daughter, Mary Beth Ledet and husband, Todd, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Alyssa Chapman, Adriana Acord and husband, Payton, Connor Ledet and Cristen Ledet; and great-grandsons, Lane & Beau.

Lorena was raised in Houston and worked for the Houston Police Dept. Lorena and her husband, B.K. moved to Leggett in 1985 after B.K.'s retirement. Once their dream home was complete, she began working at the Polk County Tax Assessor's office, and later at SHECO where she retired after many years.

She was a member and former pianist of the Jones Prairie Baptist Church in Leggett. She was a member of Eastern Star Shepherd Chapter 1003 in Shepherd, Texas. She was a member of the Livingston Pilot Club and served in various officer positions.
