Lou went to live with her Savior and other loved ones on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Having been born on November 13, 1929, she lived a long, joyful life until the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

Lou was a woman with an adventurous spirit. She would tell tales on herself about sneaking away on her brother's horse as a child and sequestering herself in a tree somewhere with a good book. She loved to travel. Summer vacations were filled with one week of travel and usually a week of camping with the family and friends, where she spent many hours water skiing and fishing. She learned to snow ski in her 40's and enjoyed hours on the slopes with family and friends.

Lou was successful in her professional career, earning the title of Cost Accountant, given to her by the company she worked for, even though she did not hold a degree in accounting.

Her greatest loves, however, were her Savior, her family, cooking for a group, and quilting. Quite a few of her beautiful quilts grace the beds of family members.

She always served the churches where she was a member of for many years as a Sunday School teacher. She loved the close fellowship of her church families and also loved providing her famous pecan and chocolate pies for the many feasts they shared.

Her family was the most important thing to her on the physical plane. The family reunions were her greatest joy. She never begrudged the hard work and loved catching up with everyone while reminiscing with her brothers and sisters about their shared childhood. She also loved catching up about the lives of all the children in the family.

Lou was a Godly, loving woman, beloved by family and friends alike. Please remember her with a smile on her face and the love of God and family in her heart.
