Obituary

Memorial services for Louis Gerald Huneycutt, 84, of Coldspring, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Joe MacDonald officiating. Fellowship and lunch will follow the service at the First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Huneycutt was born September 20, 1932 in Clark County, Arkansas to parents, Roy Lee Huneycutt and Oneta (Martin) Huneycutt, and passed away on July 2, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. Louis was a vibrant man who loved life and never met a stranger. His passions were family, friends, golf, cooking, the First Presbyterian Church and especially music. Louis and Violet were married for 66 years. We will miss him so much. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roy Glenn Huneycutt and Bobby Lee Huneycutt.

He is survived by his wife, Vi Huneycutt of Coldspring, Texas; daughter, Susan Huneycutt Smith of Houston, Texas; son, Danny L. Huneycutt of Houston, Texas; son, Thomas G. Huneycutt of Houston, Texas; grandson, Michael L. Smith of Austin, Texas; grandson, Nicholas L. Huneycutt of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Ashley M. Huneycutt of Spring, Texas; sister, Patsy Daniel and husband, Sewell of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
