Funeral services for Lounell Morris Watts Dillion, 100, of Lufkin, Texas, formerly of Livingston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Dillon was born July 20, 1917 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Roy Ross Morris and Mary Elizabeth (Sprayberry) Morris, and passed away March 9, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas. During her life, Lounell was a waitress at Still's Café and at White Kitchen Café. She was also a telephone operator at Livingston Telephone Company and owner of The Fabric Center. She made the first shirt and pants for "Big Tex" who was an attraction at the Pine Cone Festival. Lounell loved to quilt. She made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. She worked long and hard but was always involved in her children's activities. Her church was also very important to her. Lounell was a member of the Angelina Church Of Christ and a former long-time member of the Livingston Church Of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, Alfred Watts Sr.; second husband, JB (Bugh) Dillon; son, Roy Newton (Sonny) Watts; sisters, Thelma Gilliland, Loda Schuer, and Edna Earl Morris; and brother, Leroy Morris.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Watts Pace of Jasper, Texas; daughter, Janelle Watts Hennington and husband, Jerry of Lufkin, Texas; son, Alfred Watts Jr. and wife, Kaye of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Watts of Cleveland, Texas, David Hennington and wife, Xenia of Austin, Texas, Keith Hennington and wife, Keeley of Dallas, Texas, Dianne Pace of Jasper, Texas, Jennifer Pace and husband, Mike of Coppell, Texas, Katie Pace of Jasper, Texas, Alan Watts and wife, Jacque of Tyler, Texas, and Grant Watts and wife, Stephanie of Whitewright, Texas; sister, Myra Gibson and husband, Troy of Garland, Texas; daughter-in-law, Gloria Watts of Cleveland, Texas; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
