Funeral services for Loyd Elwood Felder, 88, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Pastor Allen Bramlett and Rev. Don Wilkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Loyd was born November 18, 1930 in Fulfurrias, Texas to parents, William Harvie Felder and Annie Augusta (Greenawalt) Felder, and passed away September 13, 2019 in Huntsville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents. During his life, Loyd completed 2 years of education at Texas A&M before entering into military service in 1952. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a 60 year member of the IBEW Local 716 and the founder of their Death Benefit Program. In his free time, Loyd loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing. He had the ability to fix anything that was brought to him - big or small. He was always there for his family and friends with simple words of advice. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Ozell Felder of Onalaska; son, Loyd Douglas Felder of Sugarland; daughter, Dalene Lanette Felder of Onalaska; grandchildren, Johnny "Trey" Clawson III, Reid Felder, and Clint Felder; great-granddaughter, Jolene Clawson; and sisters, Lynn Wallace and husband, Ralph of Temple, Lysbeth Warneke and husband, Sehon of Lake Jackson, and Wilma Boyer and husband, Lester of Austin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
