Funeral services for L.W. "Bill" Mihelich, 93, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Tom Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2020, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. before the service begins.
Bill was born September 5, 1927 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Rudolph Mihelich and Hallie (Mullins) Mihelich, and passed away September 19, 2020 in Conroe, Texas. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Texas in WWII. Bill was a member of the Masonic Trinity Lodge #14 AF & AM of Livingston for over 60 years. He retired from Pipefitters Local 211 where he worked most of his life.
Bill's passion was hunting and horses. He was a long-time member of the Tin Barn Hunting Club in Onalaska, Texas and loved to hunt in Colorado when he had the chance. His special friend, Marge, lived in Colorado where he and Velma hunted many times. He also ranched and was an avid horse lover, competing in cutting horse competitions for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Velma Hance Mihelich; parents, Rudolph Mihelich and Hallie (Mullins) Mihelich; sisters, Marie Mihelich Edwards and Cynthia Mihelich Walker.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Junette Mihelich; granddaughter and husband, Stephanie and James Cuilty and great grandchildren, Sydney Cuilty, Samantha Cuilty, and Alex Cuilty; granddaughter and husband, Sara and Juan Guerra and great grandchild, Evan Guerra; brothers, Clarence Mihelich and wife Dixie, and Frank Mihelich; brother-in-law, Hank Edwards; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
