Lyndon left us to walk the golden streets of heaven on, January 16, 2022, Sunday morning. He had just returned home Saturday evening from a hunting trip with his son and grandson shortly before he gained his wings. How wonderful it was that he spent his last few days doing what he loves and enjoying life with his family.

He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967. Shortly after attended Wharton County Jr College. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, from March 12, 1969 to December 29, 1971. He was in the Vietnam War then stationed in Alaska. He returned home from Alaska to marry Peggy Tamburello on May 17th, 1969. With his bride by his side they moved to Hawaii, then returned and finished out his service in Pensacola, Florida. He led the gun sales department as number 1 salesman in the state at Oshman's Sporting Goods and went to work at the chemical plant shortly after in Pasadena, Texas. After some time and two kids later, Lyndon packed up and left his home, job and life in Pasadena to attend Criswell College and Dallas Theological Seminary. He went to be a minister. He had a love for the Lord like no other. Then served as a Baptist pastor at a church where his mother went to school as a child in Hortense, Texas. He led many to the Lord in his lifetime.

In his retirement years he lived in Mountain Home, Texas in the Hill Country that he loved and Panorama Village in Conroe, Texas where he took up golfing for a while. The last years of his life were spent in Hortense and then in Harper with his son Brian, daughter-in-law Angela and grandson Cannon. He loved it there in Harper, with all the animals and land. He once said I would rather be here than in a million-dollar home. He kept busy with his hobby of gunsmith out in the man cave.

Lyndon was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lydia Tamburello; wife of 42 years, Peggy Tamburello; and father-in-law, Ruben Meadors. Lyndon is survived by his sister, Nancy Sayuk and husband, Tom; daughter, Angela Maul and husband ,Joseph; son, Brian Tamburello and wife, Angela; mother-in-law, Ramona Meadors. Lyndon had eight grandchildren that were the light of his life, Kali Morquecho and Nathan Neal, Mario Morquecho, Cannon Tamburello, Ella, Jack, Jake and Victoria Maul.

Lyndon was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved every minute he could spend outdoors, especially when it involved any of his grandchildren. He was never a stranger to anyone and always had a story to tell at any given moment. Always sure to make you laugh. He will be deeply missed by all.

Pallbearers: Cannon Tamburello, Mario Morquecho, Russell Meadors, Brandon Meadors, Josh Gibson, Charlie Cavazos, Austin Johnson, Dustin Johnson
