Funeral services for Mae Fern Hammack, 98, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Humble, Texas. Military honors will be provided by the Southeast Navy Region. Visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2019, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Hammack was born April 29, 1921 in Mason, Michigan, to parents, Chester Chenoweth and Gertrude (Wilson) Chenoweth, and passed away May 2, 2019 in New Caney, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Hammack Sr.; granddaughter, Tracey Gillespie; and sister, Hilda Banter. During her life, Mrs. Hammack proudly severed her country in the United States Navy during WWII during Pearl Harbor.

She is survived by daughter, Janet Yarborough; son and daughter-in-law, John and Anna Hammack; daughter, Marsha McCleney-Ryan; grandchildren, Bruce Gillespie, Charlie Gillespie, Shane Canada, John Hammack III, Roxanne Wedin, Rosa Slattery, Tony Anguiano, Juan Anguiano, Patrick McCleney, Danielle McCleney, and Cindy McCleney; great grandchildren, Chance, Lewis, Rebecca, Peyton, Nynke, John IV, Jason, Matthew, and Sarah; great-great grandchildren, Emma Lynn and Lamar Christ; nephews, Ira, Ralph, David, and Michael Banter; along with numerous other relatives, and friends.
