Graveside services for Magelene Harrell Placker, 90, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Jim Newton officiating.
Magelene was born on October 19, 1925 in Livingston, Texas and grew up in the small community of Soda. During her life, she was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had once belonged in the Red Hats Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallis Ray Placker; parents, Sam and Mary Harrell; step-mother, Gladys Harrell; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra and husband, Gerald Black, Darla and husband, Kenny Haydu; grandchildren, Pam and husband, Edward Bogie, Gerald Ray Black, Charles Black and wife, Amanda, Michael LeClerc and Misty LeClerc; along with numerous great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Mamie Malone and later in life, they loved traveling together and made any trips to Branson, Missouri.
