Funeral services for Malcolm Lawrence Sylestine, 73, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Busby officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Sylestine was born on September 17, 1943 in Livingston, Texas to mother, Clara Faye Sylestine, and passed away on May 17, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, Malcolm graduated from Ft. Sill Indian School in Oklahoma. His favorite hobby was making signs and name plates. Malcolm was loved and known by many. He is preceded in death by his mother; step-father, Ramsey Battise; sisters, Jessie Sylestine and Rachel Williams; and step-brothers, Paul Battise and Dennis Battise.
He is survived by his brother, Charley Sylestine of Livingston, Texas; and sister, Arlene Thompson of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
