Funeral services for Maldrid Lynn Battise, 81, of Woodville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Indian Village Presbyterian Church with Elder Debra Battise-Kleinman, CLP officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, with a wake service beginning at 6:30 PM, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Maldrid was born on January 27, 1933 in Livingston, Texas and passed away on March 29, 2014 in Woodville, Texas. She was a faithful member of the Indian Village Presbyterian Church and she knew her bible very well. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Correen Battise; beloved brother, Baldwin Battise; brother, Delphis Battise; aunts, Lucine Feather Hoff, Esla Doud, Alline Zarete, Helen Battise, Judy Poncho, and Rhonda Marie Battise; uncles, Daniel Webster Battise, Reavis Battise, and Oscar Battise, Jr.; grandfather, Oscar Battise, Sr.; grandmother, Hattie Henderson Battise.
