Manie Campbell age 74 passed away at his home with his family at his side on Thursday May 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 8, 2010 at 1:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Saundra Winge officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00PM in the Wood Cemetery in Burkville, Texas.

Manie was born November 22, 1935 in Center to parents Carrol Campbell and Beulah Powell Martin Campbell. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Marines and also 4 years in the United States Navy. Manie and his family sang gospel music for many years together. They were recently inducted into The Texas Gospel Music Hall Of Fame. Manie will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, and son Marty Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife Glenda Campbell of Livingston, daughter Belinda Jordon of Livingston, brother Joe Campbell and wife Barbara of Livingston, sister Eunice Morrison of Kingwood and his granddaughter Joyce Hood of Livingston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Hood, Jay Campbell, Buddy Campbell, Manie Wade Campbell, Glynn Campbell, Gary Campbell, David Campbell, James Trahan, and Herman Campbell.
