Marge Calandra (Margaret Ann Mount) went to her final resting place with the Lord on November 13, 2020 following a long illness. Born September, 25, 1933 in Port Monmouth, New Jersey, Marge married her High School sweetheart, John (Calandra, of Union Beach, NJ) in 1952. Marge and John raised 5 children in New Jersey: Peggy (Ciarcia Newbold, and her husband, Rob) of Wallingford, Connecticut; John (pre-deceased) formerly of Humble, Texas; Nancy (Haynes, and her husband Joe) of Livingston, Texas; Theresa (Cobb) of Goodrich, Texas; and Paul (and his wife, Denise) of San Antonio, Texas. Marge was a fulltime wife, mother, and homemaker and took much pride in her family and home. She was also a talented seamstress and created clothing and home décor for many people. Marge and John moved to Texas in 1976, where she helped him run a successful photo developing business, Family Photo, in Cleveland and Livingston, She was the proud and loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all of us who loved her but we are thankful she is finally at peace.
Marge was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas.
The family wished to acknowledge and thank the wonderful caregivers from Kindred Hospice of Livingston who provided exceptional care and assistance in helping John care so lovingly for Marge at home. When he was no longer able to provide the level of care she required Kindred Hospice continued to oversee her care at Pine Ridge Health Care in Livingston. We also want to express our gratitude to the caregivers at Pine Ridge Health Care who took wonderful care of Marge during her final months.
In lieu of flowers, tribute donations in honor of Marge can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or online at actalz.org.
