Obituary

Margie Jane (Vick) Robicheaux 74 of Livingston passed away peacefully Wednesday October 7, 2009 in Houston. Memorial services will be held in her honor Saturday October 10, 2009 at 1:00PM in the Livingston Church Of Christ with Lindell Mitchell officiating.

She was born January 5, 1935 in Dewitt County, to parents Ben Frank Vick and Nellie V. Stevens Vick. She graduated from Herman Hospital School of Nursing Diploma Program and graduated in 1970, going on to work with Dr. Lowis Girard as a surgical nurse and Ophthalmic Specialist. Margie then worked in the Livingston area working in labor and delivery, and home health. She taught her daughter labor and delivery also and they worked together in the Livingston Hospital until she retired in 1992. She then went on to her next career proudly serving The Livingston Church Of Christ as secretary to the minister Lindell Mitchell. He affectionately nicked named Margie Lu Lu. While working at the church she followed in her mothers footsteps by serving in the Church Prison Ministry by doing bible correspondence courses with the inmates. Margie also wrote poetry from a early age and continued on through out her life. Her final poem was written to be read at her memorial service.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, son in law Gregory (Tony) Wright, sons Robert Ford Gregory, Jimmy Carl Legar Jr., granddaughter Amy Denise Laskoskie, daughter Dawn Robicheaux and brother Marvin Vick.

She is survived by her husband J.C. Robincheaux of Livingston, daughter Connie Wright of Livingston, son James Gregory and wife Verna of Amarillo, grandchildren Misty Crabtree and husband James, Rachel Russell and husband Robert, great grandchildren Joey Mottu, B. J. Mottu, Liam Morales, Geoffrey Williams, Layla Russell, Mia Russell and Bria Crabtree. She is also survived by her brother Billy Vick and wife Marion of El Campo, sister Clareince Weaver and husband Cliff of Coffman, special friend Betty Rozell and her second son Lindell Mitchell.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Houston Hospice for the loving care and respect that was given to Margie in the last days of her life, and to the Houston Paws Organization for making it possible to bring her little furry friend Wendy to her bedside while in the C.C.U. at Memorial Herman Med. Center.
