Funeral services for Mrs. Marguerite Yellott, 96, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Father Tarsisius Puling, SVD officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Marguerite was born April 29, 1925 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents, John Joe Smith and Agatha (Morath) Smith, and passed away March 26, 2022 in Onalaska, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hansford Lee Yellott; grandson, Cole Hollis; brothers, John Smith and James Smith; and sister, Juanita Sternes. During her life, Marguerite was extremely devoted to the Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Onalaska Senior Citizens Center, playing bingo, and being outdoors. Marguerite was an avid quilter and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri Hollis and husband, Tom of Onalaska, Texas; son, Lee Yellott Jr. and wife, Nana of Africa; daughter, Dawn Robinson of Garland, Texas; sister, Helen Louise Witherspoon of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Jacqueline Crayton and husband, Joseph, Gabe Collier and wife, Jenell, Chris Collier and wife, Brooke, Alicia Gill and husband, Keith, Taylor Hollis, and Dan Hollis and wife, Cristine; along with 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
