Services for Maria Mata Pena, 92, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at Iglesia Pentecostal Church in Livingston, Texas at 11:00 a.m. with Ruben Sandoval officiating. Interment will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, November 2, 2023 and will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Maria was born March 18, 1931 in San Miguel, California and passed away October 31, 2023 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Mata and Juana F. Pena.

She is survived by her son, Jose Mata and wife Maria of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Rosalinda Renteria and husband Jamie of Livingston, Texas; son, Antonio Sandoval and wife Ana of El Salvador; daughters, Mary Yolick and husband Tim of San Leon, Texas, Juana Sandoval and husband Ruben of Livingston, Texas, and Ana Florida Torres of Houston, Texas; and sister, Carmen Mata; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
