Graveside services for Marie David Davis, 90, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Kevan Wood officiating.

Mrs. Davis was born May 6, 1927 in Hortense, Texas to parents, Joseph Harmon David and Ellie (Whitehead) David, and passed away November 6, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. Upon finishing beauty and barber college in 1946, she moved to Livingston, Texas and began her beauty shop business. Marie owned and operated the business for fifty-three years.

In March of 1947 she married Earl Davis, her husband of 70 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston for 68 years. She taught junior high girls and later senior boys and girls. Marie loved tending her beautiful flowers and raising her fruits and vegetables.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Eugene Davis; daughter, Ruth Marie Davis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Pete) David and Irvie David, and James H. David and Ann David.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald E. and Deborah Davis of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Rick and Georganne Davis of Livingston, Texas, and Reggie and Lea Davis of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Cullen Davis and Anikka of Wimberly, Texas, Shara Aucoin and Brad of Marion, Texas, Magen Carpenter and Coy of Livingston, Texas, and Cody Davis and Cassadi Steagall of Livingston, Texas; great grandchildren, Tatum Davis, Tristan Davis, Hannah Aucoin, Madyson Carpenter, and Easton Carpenter; sister, Catherine Kachel of Dallas, Texas; many wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund for the First Baptist Church of Livingston, Texas.
